about us When children are not a priority in the lives of their parents, neglect soon follows. Abuse comes from frustrations and anger. The result is a child who does not have memories of being loved and cared about. RFKC Oxnard has a week to create memories these children will never forget. Our counselors have 2 campers to care for. Along side, there are over 60 additional volunteers. Our goal is to put every need of the camper first. Our second goal is to meet the needs of our counselors. Supporting them while they support the children is our priority. The children who come to camp have had hard little lives. This camp gives them a reprieve; a week with no worries, cares or anger. A week of peace, and more importantly, a week where they are actually seen and cared about. Everyone who come to camp is a volunteer. There are no paid staff. This is a not for profit organization. All our funding comes from donations from people who care a great deal about children.
